Follow the Silk Road, the ancient trade route dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 CE), which helped to forge political and economic ties between China, Indian, Persia, Europe, and Arabia and allowed for the trade of culture, religions, syncretic philosophies, and various technologies among the civilizations along this ancient road.

Visit centuries old caravanserais where weary Silk Road travelers would stop to rest before continuing on their way and prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey filled with culture, adventure and endless new desert experiences.

Day 1: The adventure starts in Tehran! Enjoy the drive to Damghan and Jandagh.  Visit the old desert fortress and home of Qajar poet Yaghma Jandaghi before driving to Mesr (Egypt) Village. 

Stop in Farahzad Village in the afternoon and spend the night in a traditional hotel.

Day 2: Wake up early to watch a magnificent desert sunrise and have breakfast before visiting traditional farms to see desert farming techniques.

Have lunch in the palm orchards of Khour and Biabanak and visit the impenetrable, mud brick Sassanid fortress known as Bayaziyeh Castle.

Spend a night in a traditional inn in Garmeh Village where you can try a traditional dinner.

Day 3: Discover the seemingly-untouched-by-time villages of Ardib and Iraj, visit carpet workshops and farmlands, and explore the desert way of life.

Visit Choupanan oasis with its unique texture where you can have a traditional lunch before heading for Kashan where you will spend the night in a traditional house and find yourself amazed by the beauty of your surroundings.

Day 4: Enjoy an early breakfast in Kashan before hitting the road to Maranjab Desert.

Bring your camera to Maranjab Desert! It’s the perfect place for astrophotography!

Drive onto the Salt Lake, discover the wandering island or just take a walk on the moving sand hills and enjoy the sand patterns!
