This mausoleum, which dates back to the Ilkhanid (1256–1335) era, belongs to a famous Sunni scholar and Sufi master named Sheikh Taj Al-din Mahmud Khivi who, according to his tombstone, passed away in 1331. Locals believe the sheikh performed miracles such as curing the sick.  Built from stone and brick, this mausoleum stands six meters tall. There are two other tombstones in the mausoleum. Locals believe one of these stones belongs to the architect of the mausoleum, who fell from a ladder and died while working on the structure, the other stones is believed to mark the grave of the son of Sheikh Taj Al-din Mahmud Khivi or another renowned local mystic. Sheikh Taj Al-din Mahmud Khivi Mausoleum was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1974.
