One of the oldest museums in Iran, Abadan Museum opened in 1960. The building of the museum has traditional Persian architecture and has a 22.5-meter dome that resembles the conical dome of Daniel the Prophet’s Mausoleum in Shush. This museum showcases items of anthropological and historical value including bronze statues, equestrian equipment, clay vessels and animal statues found in Ilam and Luristan excavations.
