This tower was built in 1815 as a navigational aid for sailors and help guide them safely to port. This brick tower is 28-meters tall and until 1929 always had a light burning at the top. In this year the Anzali municipality decided to change the tower’s function from lighthouse to clock tower and installed a four-faced clock on it. In 1991, the municipality of Anzali removed the old clock and replaced it with an electronic one.
