The Alvand Mountain Range in Hamedan Province is one of the famous natural attractions located south of Hamedan city. This mountain range has steep valleys, lush plains, tall peaks and unique plant species that attract countless nature lovers every year. The tallest peak in this mountain range is Mount Alvand with a height of 3,584 meters. Mount Kolah Qazi at 3,125 meters and Mount Karkas at 2,959 meters are the other famous peaks of this mountain range. Ganjnameh, Abbas Abad and Barfin are among the notable valleys of the Alvand Mountain Range.
