Discover Red Gold of Iran with us
They say it brings a smile to your face. Saffron, king of all spices, is Iran’s red gold, and an ounce of it is even more expensive in some western supermarkets than the precious metal. Saffron is a distinctive flavour in Persian cuisine and has often featured in recipes of some of the world’s most famous chefs. This spice has been produced in Iran for more than 3000 years, and the country is the world’s biggest producer (up to 90% of the world production, or 250 tons).
