The Jame Mosque of Urmia, which is also known as the Rezaieh Mosque, is one of West Azarbaijan’s important religious schools and centers of religious education. Located at the center of the city’s bazaar, the mosque is an 11th century structure which was expanded and completed over the centuries.

The old Shabistan (inner sanctum) of the mosque dates back to the Seljuq era (1038-1118) and has a dome. The Ilkhanid (1256–1335) Mihrab (prayer niche) inside the Shabistan has intricate stucco decorations. There are several rooms around the courtyard which were built during the Zand era (1750-1794). There is a small library on the western corner of the courtyard. The mosque was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1935.
