Lake Urmia which sits on the border between West and East Azarbaijan, is a salt lake that has almost completely dried up. The lake has over 100 small and big islands and is the habitat of a crustacean known as Artemia urmiana or brine shrimp. The lake’s water was considered good for skin diseases. The lake was designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Dry or not, this place will always be in my heart. I hope next time i visit this place, it will be filled with water and water and water, like it's glorious days, when it used have waves and birds inside. :(
