Howz Soltan Lake is located 40 kilometers north of Qom and 85 kilometers south of Tehran. This lake is 18 kilometers long and 16 kilometers wide and spans an area of 240 kilometers. The lake consists of two pools named Howz Soltan and Howz Mordeh (dead) which are connected via a slim waterway. This area is rich in plant and animal species.
